Trailblazing Foundation

Trailblazing Foundation

Since 1930, Paul has been an anchor institution of our community, gathering a diverse group of students from across the District of Columbia in pursuit of a rigorous education in a diverse and innovative environment. Our rich heritage began with founder Cecile Middleton, an educational pioneer who envisioned a school where students would grow in both knowledge and character, prepared to lead and serve their communities with purpose.

Expansive Opportunities

Our legacy of educating world-changers is built on inspiring and challenging our students to pursue ever-broadening horizons.

Washington, DC provides ample opportunities for experiential learning and we ensure that Paul students can fully benefit from them. We offer athletic programs, cross-cultural initiatives, dance classes with Alvin Ailey and the Kennedy Center, global electives, and partnerships with the Asia Society, Peace Thru Culture, and LearnServe International.

Beyond our borders, our students have the world as their classroom through opportunities for international travel. More than 60 of our students have traveled to countries across the globe for educational experiences.

Generational Impact

Our alumni are leaders in their communities who are proud of their Paul education. Their strongest endorsement comes when they choose Paul for their children, and we have been privileged to form lasting relationships and serve families for multiple generations.

Our story is formed by legacy. As we build on our past to prepare for the future, we invite you to become part of our story.
